A confidential multi-million dollar settlement was reached prior to trial in a federal case involving claims against the United States, civilian health care providers, and a hospital for the wrongful death of a young father based on the failure to properly treat a diagnosed infection.
A settlement was reached in a multi-million dollar medical negligence case brought under the Federal Tort Claims Act wherein Tripler Army Medical Center staff improperly placed a feeding tube into the airway of a retired service member leading to his asphyxiation and death.
After a highly contested case involving a hostile takeover attempt by a group of foreign investor defendants, and where the foreign investor defendants were represented by the largest law firm in the world, the arbitrator awarded our client (Hawaiian Host) over $13M in damages and pre-judgment interest.
